Meet Shay

Shay Guynn, M.Ed.; BCBA

Behind every overwhelmed parent is a quiet longing. A longing for peace. For connection. For understanding. For the confidence to believe that things can get better.

I know that longing because I am a mother, too. I have experienced the beauty, uncertainty, joy, and weight that come with loving a child so deeply.

I have also spent more than a decade as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst helping families navigate challenges, celebrate progress, and find their way forward. Parenting with Purpose was created so that no family would have to carry these daily struggles alone.

What Drives This Work

The Heart Behind Parenting with Purpose

🌻

Every family deserves a coach, not a judge.

My role is to walk alongside you — not above you. You are the expert on your child. I am here to offer tools, perspective, and unwavering support.

🌻

Science and heart belong together.

Evidence-based strategies work best when they are delivered with warmth, cultural humility, and deep respect for each family's unique story.

🌻

Progress is personal.

There is no single definition of success. We celebrate the wins that matter most to your family — big or small, visible or quiet.

🌻

You do not have to carry this alone.

Parenting with Purpose was created so that no family would have to navigate the hard moments without someone in their corner.

Our Mission

Intentional spaces for families to heal, grow, and thrive.

Parenting with Purpose exists to create intentional spaces where overwhelmed families rediscover connection, parents reclaim confidence, and healing takes root — one purposeful step at a time.

Whether you are navigating a diagnosis, a difficult season, or simply the everyday weight of raising children, you deserve a guide who understands both the science and the heart of family life.

What Makes This Different

More than expertise — a partnership rooted in respect.

Shay's Background

Parenting with Purpose is rooted in more than a decade of experience supporting children, families, educators, and professionals across educational, clinical, nonprofit, and community-based settings.

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), former educator, administrator, advocate, and parent coach, Shay brings a unique blend of evidence-informed expertise, real-world practicality, compassion, and collaboration to every interaction.

Her approach recognizes that meaningful change happens when families feel respected, empowered, and actively involved in the journey — not simply instructed on what to do.

How We Show Up for Families

Every service is designed to be collaborative, responsive, and individualized to the unique needs of each family. Parents are viewed as essential partners in the process and are welcomed into a supportive environment where their experiences, insights, and goals are respected.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, services are personalized to meet families where they are and support them in taking intentional steps forward.

"Families thrive when the child is supported and the parent feels seen, heard, and valued."
